Work from Home

Let’s face it, who wouldn’t want to work from home given the chance?  There are many reasons to find hom-based work.  To be able to set your own hours, work anywhere, have complete control over your workspace, save money on gas and daycare are just a few benefits of working at home.  Having a disability is why I chose to work at home.

During my job search years, employers couldn’t get past my jerky movements, speech impairment, and slow typing speed to see what I was capable of and give me the opportunity to show them my skills.  With the advancement of technology, I decided to take matters in my own hands and find a job from home.  After an endless search, I discovered that the number of legitimate  home jobs pale in comparison to the scams out there.  Fortunately, I was lucky enough to come across HireMyMom.com.   It connects companies looking to outsource work to stay-at-home-moms seeking work.  It truly works!  I have used this resource for about six months and it has been a lifesaver for my family and I.

Saving Lucy

Everyone knows I am writing my autobiography, Am I Different Mommy, to share my life experiences growing up with cerebral palsy.  Through my work, I’m also writing about the importance of adopting and rescuing homeless animals from a life of despair.  I will be contributing many guest blogs to help spread the word.  Check out my first one: http://buddhadog.webs.com/apps/blog/show/4093152-guest-blog-by-lisa-vaughn-of-www-petinsurancecomparison-org-it-happens-everywhere-.

Looking past my CP

Everyone knows that all I have wanted is to be employed and be able to provide for my children. You would think having a bachelor’s degree and many skills to offer a company would be enough, but no, they could not look past my CP. Thanks to Aneil Weber, he has given me a chance to write & work for his website. Check out my bio at http://www.petinsurancecomparison.org/about/ & explore the site.
